Marketing Brief

To start this project off I created a marketing brief to create a summary of what the new brand would be including: objective, target audience, brand voice, problem, solution, A-list competitors to focus on, and how we were going to execute the brand launch. We wanted to look at the best so that we could be taken seriously with a strong brand right out the gates.

Logo & Color Palette

When I picked this project up the black and white logo was already created by a previous designer. So I moved forward with identifying a color combination for the logo. This logo went through 3 rounds of variations. In the second (top right) round we discussed and made notes to try various ‘tag lines’ for the logo as well as trying teal, green, blue, and black color variations.

The final pick for the logo was the bottom row, teal version.

With the final logo being selected, it was then time to narrow down the color palette. I shared 5 options and the first one was the final pick.

Packaging

Now it was time to utilize our new brand on the packaging. Product creation for this project was a fun challenge. The product was created and it was time to customize it with silkscreens and create packaging that was bold and clean. When it came to working with the packaging facility it was really important for us to have a great line of communication. I utilized screenshots and mock ups to convey what we wanted in a clear way to the facility and the final product came out just how the client wanted it!

The first image depicts communication the facility and I had to get the silkscreen perfectly printed on the fixture. She shared different dimension sizes seen with red and blue boxes. I showed her a mock up of where we wanted each design piece on the fixture. She then shared with me the margin on the edge of the fixture so we could make the logo as large as possible, since the fixture is so slim. Next I sent her font size variations and she mocked it up for me on the actual product. Lastly I sent her the print ready artwork for the silkscreen and it turned out perfect! Other images show the carton design on the dieline, carton labels, installation guide, final carton and final silkscreen on the fixture.

Product Photography

The production of the fixture was complete and it was time to market the product. I gave direction in a photography brief to a third party professional photographer so we could show the fixture from stunning angles in our marketing pieces. The brief was thorough and easy to understand. The photographer delivered beautiful photos with the exact angles that I requested. The client loved how these turned out.

Marketing Materials

With the branding and product photography done it was time to create marketing collateral for the sales team.

Website

Finally it came time to design the website. While working collaboratively with the client I created this website concept. That became the foundation for the final website that you can see by scrolling through the gallery and in the video of the live site below.
