RentWizard Case Study

RentWizard is a massive project and I had the pleasure of being part of the team who built the branding & identity from the ground up with it’s founder. RentWizard is a company that is part of the “Sharing Economy” with it’s focus revolving around RVs. It provides a platform where an RV Owner who has an RV can post it on the RentWizard website for massive tax write offs and a source of rental income.

Logo

The logo task was distributed to various designers off-site and we selected the logo we liked best from the selection. Once the logo was selected I was then given the logo to edit further. You can see the logo with “We’re Number One in Outdoor Fun” was the original logo selected. The one below it was the primary logo that I designed as well as a secondary version used on the front of all of the printed marketing materials.

Branding

Branding is a very important part of any company and RentWizard is no different. My employer decided what he had in mind for the brand and created a manual. I decided to update it and create a version of my own to express the brand further in the manual. Using the brand colors that we selected in the logo and the concepts that company stood for I created the branding manual you can see below.

Ambassador Kit

The Ambassador Kit is a tool to help Ambassadors let RV Owners know about RentWizard. The kit contains 57 different printed materials that I designed myself. I then managed the first print order of 250,000 pieces, as well as prepared all of the designs for print production.

There were also various buttons designed that were used in the kit, on eblasts, and for web.

Ambassador Success Guide

The Ambassador Success Guide is a booklet that walks the new Ambassador through what RentWizard is and strategies they can use to reach out to RV Owners. The booklet was very detailed and contained a large amount of information. Despite the being a text heavy piece, the lay out is still clean, organized, and communicates the information effectively.

Website

The website was developed off-site, but I was still involved with guiding the developers to make sure that the website matched our brand. They created basic concepts of elements and tools we described to them. Then I would take their version and create mock ups for them to follow. Here are some infographics and estimators that I provided to them to develop for the site. These design pieces keep the brand consistent.

I also designed all of the banners and video stills used on the website.

I worked closely with the developers to provide all of the correct information for all of the items in the Ambassador online store. The excel spreadsheets allowed them to easily plug in all of the items and appropriate information for each.

There is also an e-book available for the Ambassador to download in their dashboard and I designed the cover.

Eblasts

Once the website was developed we started building up our email list with people involved the RV industry. These are various pieces that I designed to update our followers about anything new happening with RentWizard.

Print Ads

I also designed Print Ads that were featured in the Workamper Magazine to get the word out about RentWizard.

Trade Show Booth

I also designed a trade show booth that is informational and brings people in to learn more about RentWizard. The booth is enough information to allow the viewer to get the basic idea upon looking at it. After that a booth representative can use the booth as a guide to walk them through all of the details they would need to know to see if RentWizard is right for them to join.

Webinar

A team of three, including me, put together a 30 minute webinar to educate people all over the country on RentWizard and how they can become part of RentWizard and the sharing economy. I designed each slide. I then edited the 30 minute webinar into 1 to 2 minute clips of little teasers to show viewers the types of things they will learn from the webinar.

TV Show

RentWizard also has a 30 minute TV Show that allows viewers to learn more about the program in the comfort of their homes. I helped direct the video editors to create the exact look we were going for regarding colors and layout of graphic elements on the screen.

Social Media

I managed the RentWizard social media platforms by keeping up with the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram company pages. Gaining followers and establishing relationships with other people in the RV industry.

This was a massive project and it was amazing to work on. I got to wear many different hats and work in all different kinds of design and media types. Everything including print, web, video editing, and motion graphics were needed from me in this project and the client loved all of the designs created for RentWizard. I worked very hard on this project and laid the ground work for the RentWizard brand. I provided the company with the ability to expand and grow with the design materials and templates I created for them.
